Another medical institution – Federal State Health Institution Clinical Hospital No. 6 Federal Biomedical Agency of Russia initiated brachytherapy treatment for prostate cancer. The first surgery using brachytherapy method was successfully held at the Clinical Hospital No. 6 Federal Biomedical Agency of Russia, Moscow, on August 7. The operation was performed with the use of computed tomography (CT) under the supervision of an experienced physician, PhD Sviridov Pavel Vladimirovich, who is an employee of MRRC RAMS, Obninsk. The operation lasted for about 2 hours. The Head of Urology Department of Clinical Hospital No. 6 Pavlenko Kirill and urologist Spirin Petr took part in the surgery.
