MASTER CLASS ON LOW-DOSE-RATE BRACHYTHERAPY FOR PROSTATE CANCER WAS HELD IN TYUMEN
On December 17-18, 2014 BEBIG Company took part in the organization of a master-class on low-dose-rate brachytherapy for prostate cancer.
The event was held on the basis of the Occupational health facility "Neftyanik" in Tyumen. It was attended by the leading urologists practicing innovative method of prostate cancer treatment, from Saint-Petersburg, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, Yekaterinburg. Within the framework of the master-class two brachytherapy operations were successfully performed for patients suffering from prostate cancer. The operating doctors: Head of the Department of Oncology of the Tyumen State Medical Academy, Supervisor of multidisciplinary clinical medical center "Medical City", MD, Professor Zyryanov Alexander Vladimirovich, Urologist of the highest category, Ponomarev Alexey Vladimirovich - Head of the Department of oncourology OHF "Neftyanik" Oschepkov Vasiliy Nikolaevich - Radiologist, PhD, Research Institute of Urology, Moscow. Brachytherapy operations were conducted using Russian microsources containing iodine-125. In 2015 BEBIG Company will expand the number of clinics that use Russian iodine-125 microsources.
The team of doctors led by Professor, Ph.D. Zyryanov A.V., carries out a low-dose-rate brachytherapy operation for prostate cancer.
